3. Use an Extension

This method is probably the most simple solution in extracting attribute information into MS Excel. What we need to do are just clicks. One of example extension we may use is XTools Pro as shown in the following picture.

In the pictures above, XTools Pro exports attribute information into a new MS Excel table. We no need to worry about changing the original attribute table because XTools Pro gives us a fresh new table which can be saved into XLS or XLSX any time.
