CarryMap is an ArcGIS extension from DataEast to convert our ArcGIS (MXD) project into standalone package for Windows (EXE), Windows Mobile / PDA (ECE) and iPad. This post shows how to install CarryMap version 3.1 and make fill the KEY.
- Download CarryMap version 3.1 (Shareware). We can download and install trial version first before buying it. You can download CarryMap at the this LINK

Extract the ZIP file. The ZIP contains two files, namely executable and text files.
- Execute the CarryMap-3.1.262-Setup.exe (extracted installer file)

If you are using Windows7, you may have UAC windows such follow. Just clik on YES.

At language option, just seleck English. At the time of this post published, there is no Bahasa Indonesia in drop-down list.
Click on OK.

Installation process will configure some requirements such as MS Visual C++. Just wait until the the configuration finish.

Then, the installation dialog start as shown in the following link. Click on NEXT to start the installation process.

You may need to read the license agreement. Just scroll the windows to read all of the agreement.
We have to tik on “I accept the agreement”. Then Click on NEXT >

Set the folder we are going to store the software. By default, CarryMap will put the itself in ‘C:\Program Files\DataEast\CarryMap’.
This folder can be left as it is. Click on NEXT to continue.

Set the start menu. By default, installation will put CarryMap shortcut in ‘Start\All Programs\Data East\CarryMap’.
Start menu can be left as it is by default. Click on NEXT > to continue.

The summary of installation setting shown as follow. At this step we don’t actually install anything yet. If we need to change some parameters we can go BACK.
If the installation settings are good enough, just click on
- Installation process takes about 10 seconds (varies among computers)

Installation process are success if we have the following windows.
Click on Finish to exit installation message above.
Installation has been successfully done. - Run the ArcMap

Automatically, CarryMap toolbar will shows itself as a floating toolbar as shown in the following image.

However, if CarryMap toolbar does not show, we can activate it by go to CUSTOMIZE menu > CUSTOMIZE MODE.
Activate CarryMap toolbar by tikking on its radio button.

CarryMap is ready. However, CarryMap function is not fully licensed. Some functions are not ready for us.

We need to by CarryMap online. Just follow the link

Here is the price list of CarryMap 3.1 license (fresh install)
As we can see, for 1 single license we are charged only US$ 206 (No more than IDR 2 million) It is quite cheap isn’t it? We can buy the license using credit card.
- After having ACTIVATION KEY, we need to activate the CarryMap

On CarryMap toolbar, Clik on CarryMap menu > About (See the picture below)

Then, click on Activate

Type the ACTIVATION KEY. We may use Copy-paste in order to avoiding mistype.
Clik on ACTIVATE.
Note: the activation key above is just an illustration.

A message will shows whether you are going to activate by internet?
Just click on YES.

Activation will be successful if we get the following dialog.
Just click on OK to exit the dialog

On the ABOUT windows, we will get the name and company of registrant as shown in the following link.
