Adding google’s layer into GIS application has been GIS practitioners’ need, inlcuding QGIS users. Moreover, it will be nice if we can add googlemap/earth images into our view. Google Layers plugin then can be used for that need. This plugin can add google layer, including images into our work on QGIS. However, added layer is not real time yet. If we pan or zoom on our QGIS we need to re-add our google layer.
To use Google Layer plugin, we can do as follow
1. Install QGIS (if you don’t have one)
2. CLick on Plugins menu > Fetch Python Plugins (computer must be connected to internet)
3. Click on Repositories > Add 3rd party repositories
4. Click on Plugins tab > Select Google Layers plugin > Install Plugin
