Where spatial analyst tools go? Perhaps that question arise in our mind when surprisingly get ‘incomplete’ Spatial Analyst Toolbar in ArcGIS 10. I couldn’t find interpolate to raster anymore now… This makes us curious why ESRI decided to eliminate the tool from toolbar. Moreover, 3D analyst tools are also gone.
Here is the Spatial Analyst toolbar with ‘incomplete’ tool available.

which is usually in previous version, the toolbar is like this

Actually, ESRI does not eliminate such fundamental tool. They are only disappear from toolbar, but are still available in ArcToolbox. Perhaps, ESRI want to simplify the available tool for ordinary user and for advance user, ArcToolbox is still there.
Do you want the tools back to Spatial Analyst toolbar? We probably need to wait until ESRI put them back in next update/patch. As long as we still can afford it however
The following tips may bring some spatial analysis tool/function back to Spatial Analyst toolbar
1. Create an empty project (for master)
2. Activate the Spatial Analyst extention and its toolbar
3. Go to Customize Mode by Click on Customize menu > Customize Mode

4. On COMMANDS tab, find New Menu > New Menu and drag it to the place we want (see picture below).

5. RightClick on the new menu created and change its name into any name such as Spatial Analyst or Analisa Spasial.

6. We need create some sub-menus (or tools) under menu created. Try to add a sub-menu using Step 4 and then named it DENSITY (see pic below)

7. Add a tool under Density sub-menu. Find a tool/function we want and drag it into the place we want (see pic below)

8. Do the rest step by adding some sub-menus or tools. We may need to see what ArcGIS 9.3 have on its Spatial Analyst toolbar as a comparison. However, it is up to you. Feel free to create our own toolbar.
9. Save the project. Make this a master project opened every time we want to create a new project. Save As another project to continue our analysis.
